Ciara Phelan has joined Pocko's family of illustrators! Ciara is a freelance designer and illustrator working from Open Studio in North London. She particularly enjoys collecting vintage ephemera and cutting things out of paper. After graduating in 2008 from studying Graphic Design at Brighton University she has gone on to build up an exciting portfolio working with an extensive range of clients that include: Orange, New Scientist, Microsoft, Endsleigh Insurance, Canon, Myspace, Nylon Magazine, Design Week, The Big Issue, Leo Burnett, Penguin Books, Virgin Media, Computer Arts, Action Aid and Barclay's Bank. In between his shoots for Wallpaper Magazine and Modern Painters, London-based photographer Leon Chew also creates some remarkable campaigns. This image for Vitra is of the newly-built VitraHaus, designed by world-famous architects Herzog & de Meuron. In close proximity to the Swiss border and the furniture manufacture's Basel headquarters, Vitra has created a new domicile for its Home Collection in Weil am Rhein, Germany.
Pocko's relationship with the Italian energy giant ENI has been growing from strength to strength. This time we were asked by Syndial, a subsidary of ENI, to produce and direct a large-scale mural in Southern Italy's Crotone. We enlisted the talent of graffitti-artist Neve who had spent August planning and painting this beautiful mural on one of their gas-towers. This mammoth-scale production is Guinness Record contender for the world's largest mural painting
Earlier this year Stephen Shore was commissioned by Italian lifestyle magazine Amica to shoot a lovely editorial for vintage Armani. The shoot takes place in picturesque Italian locations, highlighting Armani's elegant collection with careful balance of model and setting.
