Jun Ioneda is a half-Japanese, half-Brazilian graphic artist whose work reflects a dynamic fusion of his cultural heritage. His bold, colourful and joyful creations explore themes of science fiction, fantasy, and queerness. Jun’s art transitions seamlessly between playful whimsy and introspective depth, often using humour to balance contrasting elements.
As the founder of BARCA Studio, Jun collaborates with global brands like Spotify, MTV, Heinz, Tinder, Fanta, and Netflix. His creative endeavours include producing a much celebrated MTV Pride Artist Ident and designing hand-painted fashion collections. In addition to his artistic practice, Jun teaches Illustration and Art Direction at Aprender.Design and LABASAD, sharing his expertise with emerging talents.
