Mat Voyce: OLIPOP Campaign
Check out a noted Pocko-signed designer & master typographer Mat Voyce’s new animation for soda brand ‘Olipop TV’!
Voyce’s signature style can be seen again featured in this bright, bold & vintage animation made in collaboration with 3D Design & Animation Studio, PrePost 3D, which reignites memories of childhood cereal breakfasts and vintage TV commercials in a fizzy, fruit filled cartoon, blasting a can through a world of custom type and blue skies.
“I’ve had the honour of working on many jobs over the past 5 years, but these 12 seconds of animation are the proudest yet. From creating the custom lettering, through to illustrating and animating every aspect of this short cartoon, watching it back makes me feel like an imposter 🥲. What’s even better is that this was to be used as part of a bigger scene built and rendered by PrePost Animation Studio. Truly a nostalgic trip back to those cereal filled Saturday mornings.”
Voyce says this about the creative process on this project, “When we started this project the plan was to have three different channels, an Olipop TV lockup, the rainbow travelling can and then those retro SIP, FIZZ, POP combos. However after reviewing the split scenes the idea came through to stitch it into one and top it off with a quick little animated endcard.”
He also mentions how significant it has been to him to push boundaries of what he knew animation to be with the support of PrePost, which had helped him put the vision of this project together and render the environment in which the TV with the animation is in.
